Now this is the part where it requires a bit of trial and error for some of us. Alipay accepts both credit and debit cards, but some people have problems trying to add their card information to their Alipay accounts. If your card has been registered on Alipay before, the card will be rejected by Alipay if you try to add it again, whether or not you have removed it. If you have a few cards on hand, you can try them one by one. Without further ado, let's go through the process of adding a card to Alipay.
Launch your Alipay app. Click on the Me button, as shown below, to see your account information.
Tap on the Bank Cards tab, as shown below, to add a credit or debit card.
Tap on the Add cards button, as shown below, to add a credit or debit card to your Alipay account.
Enter your credit or debit card number here, as shown below. Once you have entered your card number, click on the next button.
Important note: If your card is not compatible with, or cannot be used on Alipay, you will get an error message like this. You will need to try with another credit or debit card.
If your credit or debit card number is accepted, the screen will change for you to let you add your card details. Fill in your card details accordingly. Tap on the Next button when you have finished filling in your card details.
When you tap on the Billing Address tab, the following screen will appear. Enter the billing address of your card. Tap on Save once you have finished.
You have successfully added a card to your Alipay account. Tap on Done to finish adding your card.
